چکیده

A label-free-based fiber optic biosensor based on etched tilted Bragg grating (TFBG) is proposed and practically demonstrated. Conventional phase mask technic has been utilized to inscribe with a tilt angle of 10°, while the etching accomplished hydrofluoric acid. composite polyethylenimine (PEI)/poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) thermally deposited TFBG, followed by immobilization probe DNA (pDNA) this layer. The hybridization pDNA complementary (cDNA) monitored using wavelength-dependent interrogation. reproducibility probes demonstrated fabricating three identical their response investigated for cDNA concentration ranging from 0 μM 3 μM. maximum sensitivity found be 320 pm/μM, detection limit being 0.65 Furthermore, towards non-cDNA also in order establish its specificity.

Label-Free Detection of Cancer Biomarkers Using an In-Line Taper Fiber-Optic Interferometer and a Fiber Bragg Grating

A compact and label-free optical fiber sensor based on a taper interferometer cascaded with a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for detection of a breast cancer biomarker (HER2). The tapered fiber-optic interferometer is extremely sensitive to the ambient refractive index (RI). In addition, being insensitive to the RI variation, the FBG can be applied as a te...

Interrogation of interferometric sensors with a tilted fiber Bragg grating.

This paper describes the interrogation of interferometer-based transducers with a technique that involves the use of a tilted fiber Bragg grating. The interrogation process will be analyzed both from the conceptual and experimental points of view. Simultaneous interrogation of multiplexed interferometric transducers is successfully checked using this technique.

Fiber-Optic Refractometer Based on an Etched High-Q π-Phase-Shifted Fiber-Bragg-Grating

We present a compact and highly-sensitive fiber-optic refractometer based on a high-Q π-phase-shifted fiber-Bragg-grating (πFBG) that is chemically etched to the core of the fiber. Due to the p phase-shift, a strong πFBG forms a high-Q optical resonator and the reflection spectrum features an extremely narrow notch that can be used for highly sensitivity refractive index measurement. The etched...

Simple and compact reflective refractometer based on tilted fiber Bragg grating inscribed in thin-core fiber.

A simple and compact reflective refractometer based on a tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) inscribed in an ultra-high photon-sensitive thin-core fiber is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The reflective refractometer utilizes a short piece of thin-core fiber containing one TFBG to ensure the recoupling of cladding modes. The reflection spectra occur in two well-defined wavelength bands ...
